The name of the practice comes from a well known poem, The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls.
The tide rises, the tide falls,
The twilight darkens, the curlew calls;
Along the sea-sands damp and brown
The traveller hastens toward the town,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
Darkness settles on roofs and walls,
But the sea, the sea in the darkness calls;
The little waves, with their soft, white hands,
Efface the footprints in the sands,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
The morning breaks; the steeds in their stalls
Stamp and neigh, as the hostler calls;
The day returns, but nevermore
Returns the traveller to the shore,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
Life takes us individually on journeys and we come across people during that time for a reason. Often times, we only get one chance to help, hinder, or make a positive impression or bitter memory with an individual. My hope in becoming a part of a person's journey as a therapist is to not miss every opportunity an individual blesses me with to help guide to positive changes and healthy lasting impressions filled with hope.
My mission remains constant: provide support, psychoeducation, intervention, and to communicate. I strive to help advocate alongside you, the patient, to help you meet your goals of treatment and I am committed to assisting with skills to improve your quality of life if desired to engage in therapy. I seek to provide validation in your difficulties and suffering, especially when the dynamics changes the quality of life. My first desire is to ease some of the fears then to begin finding the originating cause fueling the difficulties in one’s life
